Play,Make,Create week 9 term 2

Today Whetu did Play,Make,Create the book was called We are all equal. I worked with Franklin we made a gadget to help a panda get bamboo that is high that the panda can not reach. The gadget sucked in the bamboo and shredded it up and put it in a storage tank if something tried to take bamboo without a password it will get spiked by a wooden stick And I made a hover craft for a snake to travel in.   

Whetu challnge

Today  we did newspaper tower challenge again I worked with Max,Franklin and Haven. It was not as tall as last time but we still got it quit tall we worked in the tallest room so we could get maximum height.   

fabulous finish week 5

For literacy this year after we read are book we had to do fabulous finish I made Adolf hitter with flaps.

The hardest part of it was cutting the flaps out.in the brain flap I put Billy,war,guns and a idea

for the chest I put a broken heart and a stomach in the stomach I put a burger, grenade and a lollipop.

Under his pants was love heart underwear and under his boots were love heart socks. beside him was a gun that he was holding inside the gun was the mechanics of the gun.

Play,make,create Theodore The Unsure

This weeks play make create I worked with Miller we made a yes or no  decision maker. When you pull the lever it spins for yes or no the hardest part was to get the lever to work and the easy part was to tape the circle together to get the right shape. 

Kite day

 On Friday the whole school made kites I worked with Regan both of his arms where broken so I decided to work with him we used a rubbish bag,tape,bamboo and plastic straps.

The hardest part was getting the right shape for it to take wind  it took two goes but in the end we got it and the easy part was attaching the bamboo together to make a t shape.  

At first are kite did not fly because there was no wind but the next Monday we went out to try again there was way more wind than on Friday once we put it in the air it flew but it was a little front heavy.

Play,make and create week 2 be you

 This is my play,make and create, I worked by myself, I made things that I like half is fishing and half is the out doors.

The hardest part was making the boat I had to do a lot of  measuring the easiest part was cutting the deer out if I could change something I would fix the motorbike. 

 

Whetu Fun Day

 Whetu Fun Day

Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block.

My favourite part of the Amazing Race was running around town and finding the easter eggs with the codes on the back. The easiest part was mesmerizing a poem.  

The rotation I enjoyed the most was picasso bunnies. Basically we had to draw a bunny with patterns in it You could do anything you wanted to do on the bunny. I put a watermelon hat on the top.  

During the Easter Egg Hunt I found my stick under a flap that was under a tree.it was hard because I was looking high not low.

Maths mystery

 today we did a maths mystery about a Schools athletics I worked with Christian we found out that the culprit that stole the cup in the end we found out it was Mollie.

 Today we did play make create. I worked with Cody We had to make something about camp we decided  on a mini camp ground on it was a tent,lake,log and a fire the hardest part was building the tent because we ran out of glue sticks for the glue guns.

 Today we did play make create me Regan and Eli made music .The hardest part was getting the stuff to make the drums and all the other instruments the easy part was getting the beet right.

Today we did play make create I worked with Regan and Cody we made a Bridge for the mouse in the book Gruffalo the hard part was getting the nails in the right spot the easy part was putting the seaports on. 

Week 5, Term 1, 2021

Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I was nervous at first but when I finished my first race I had more  confidence in myself. I came  2nd in freestyle 4th in breaststroke and 5 in backstroke in the end I was proud of myself.  

We had two art sessions this week I am in an art group with Mrs loft and Mrs Heaven. I  enjoy it so far for art we are doing a self portrait. It has a long neck,almond shaped eyes and big head.

In literacy this week we have been reading a Ronald book after we read a little part of the book we have had to summarise and write down the key parts of the story so far.

   

Part of our maths programme is NumBots and I think I am doing good i'm almost done with steel im on level 70 of steel. 

For this weeks  whetu challenge we had to make something that involves caterpillars me Desmond and Nathan made a house we put a creek in it 1 rock and some leafs and on the top I stuck in a stick so it can make a Chrysalis it was hard to find enough grass and leaves to put inside.

Week 4, Term 1, 2021

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is doing graphs with Mrs Kennedy Desmond was  My buddy and we did a graph about how many boys and girls are in my home room. 

We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs Heaven Our art is going to be a portrait but they have a long neck and a big head   

We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look awesome. My mum came in and helped me make it. I had photos of me, my dad,mum,brother and my dog.

Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling a little nervous but I still have confidence in myself. 

 Week 3, Term 1, 2021

Someone who has helped me with my learning this year is Cohen He helped me with me my self and I strength slide.  

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is Whetu challenge we do it every Friday I am always up for a challenge.

The most fun thing that I have done at a play or lunch time this year is playing ball tigie on the big blue with my friends.

One word that describes learning in Whetu is Fun!

Something I am looking forward to is art art is one of my favourite hobbies.
